As the Crow Flies
I sat outside in the sun today, trying to clear my mind of clutter. The sun felt good on my face and I began to feel peaceful inside. I spoke in my head to my guide; "Are you here?". No reply.
So I decided to just relax and enjoy the feel of the sun on my face. A very faint message...just my name. "Yes?, I said".
"Listen"
All was quiet, too quiet and then I heard a crow. "Follow the crow, watch where he lands". I was so surprised that I opened my eyes to find him. I found nothing. Again, I heard my name, and I closed my eyes.
"Watch for him, he'll lead you" Okay, Thank you! I said... may I feed him? "You already did" was the reply. And then I remembered, yesterday I threw out a bunch of cornbread from some chili we had over the weekend. This morning I saw a Blue Jay and a Cardinal carrying pieces away.
My moral for today: Everyone needs a harbinger, and the birds need food. You never know where you'll find a friend, but blind faith in offering your heart can bring astounding results, and occassionally, a miracle.
I'll let you know if I see the crow. (And even as I finished this post I remembered something and had to laugh. This morning, when I saw that Cardinal and Blue Jay? I walked back inside from the deck and as I was closing the door I spoke outloud to my guide "You know.. I really could use some help finding a job, anything you can do is appreciated" Life is Good.
